Booking a specialist vehicle test

You can book a specialist vehicle test online, over the phone or by post. As the vehicles in categories F, G, H and K are often limited as to how far they can travel, it’s possible to book a home test where the examiner will come to you. You should specify a meeting place when you book the test. Your test has to take place on roads with traffic and junctions, so very remote locations may be unsuitable.

How to book a test

To book a test online or over the phone you will need a valid UK driving licence and a valid debit or credit card for payment (Visa, MasterCard, Delta, Visa Electron, Switch/Maestro and Solo cards are accepted). Use the links below to find your nearest driving test centres and to book a test online.

You can book a theory test over the phone on 0300 200 1122, from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm, Monday to Friday, except on Bank Holidays.
