Prosecution and Legal Services: VOSAs own specialised prosecution unit which takes forward cases originated by VOSA examiners and turns them into Court cases. PLS sets Court hearings, reviews evidence, issues Court paperwork and serves papers on defendants. It arranges and manages representation, takes care and control of cases until the hearing and reports on the outcome both individually and by way of national statistics. The unit is run from two sites in Bristol and Cambridge. Between them these sites serve all Magistrates Courts and Crown Courts used by VOSA in England and Wales. |
