Learning to Drive
Public events
We are holding many public events across England, Scotland and Wales for our Learning to Drive consultation.
We are keen to talk to as many people as possible, so that we can hear lots of different views and opinions. We also want to give everyone the opportunity to hear about the proposed changes in person and to discuss the changes directly with the Learning to Drive team if they wish.
We are running two types of meetings in each venue. One session, starting at 2.00pm, is for Stakeholders or driving professionals such as driving instructors. The other at 6.00pm is for the general public, or non-driving professionals.
The events are taking place on the following dates:
1 July - Leeds: The Marriott Hotel
8 July - Wolverhampton: Molineux Stadium
15 July - Manchester: Hilton Deansgate
21 July - Brighton: De Vere Grand Hotel
25 July - Cardiff: Millennium Stadium
29 July - Newcastle: St James's Park
12 August - Glasgow: Radisson SAS Hotel
19 August - Inverness: Royal Highland Hotel
28 August - Croydon: Hilton Hotel
2 September - Exeter: Thistle Hotel
The events are free of charge, but stakeholders and members of the public need to book a place. Numbers are limited and places are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Places can be booked on the Learning to Drive website at www.dsa.gov.uk/learningtodrive
