Enhancement to Slot Bookings - Multiple Slot Bookings.

VOSA has released an update to the Web Booking service to allow you to make multiple slot bookings.

At present you can book up to 20 slots per order online - but have to do them one at a time. This new release will allow you to book up to 20 slots in one go.

This note covers the changes to the screens that you will see and the additional options that you now have.

Choose the size of vehicle screen

Once you have made your initial selections on test time and location you will be taken to the “Choose the size of vehicle screen”. This screen now has an additional field for selecting how many appointments you want to book.

This field will keep a running total on how many slots have been booked on the order and will not allow you to book more than 20 per order. For example - when you start your order you can ask for up to 20 appointments (as shown in the text “How many appointments? (between 1 and 20)

However many appointments you choose to book (see below) will then be deducted from the running total - so if you book 5 slots and return to book some more tests on the same order the text on the left would then change to “How many appointments? (between 1 and 15)” and you would not be able to ask for more than 15 appointments.

** The number you put in this field is the number of appointments that will be displayed when you search for a test **

All other screens in the booking process are the same until you search for a test. Rather than being presented with 3 options from which you can pick one you will be given the number of appointments that you selected in the “Choose the size of vehicle screen”.

You now have the following options:

The confirmation of your order screens and the payment screens remain the same.

Adding a VRM or Trailer ID to a slot booking.

If you want to add a VRM or a Trailer ID to a slot booking then you can do this easily without having to amend the whole order.

  • From the main menu click on “View or change my booked appointments”.
  • Find the required appointments either by using the Order/Appointment number or by searching on date.
  • Click on the appointment reference number to change.

  • Click on the “Add” text and you can add the Vehicle or Trailer ID to the appointment.
