Contract and Tenders
All of the UK’s transport agencies hand out contracts independently, usually via an internal Procurement Unit. The Procurement Unit’s primary task is to arrange contracts for the goods and services that keep each agency functioning effectively. Contracts can include anything from elastic bands to electricity, mobile phones to mobile roller brake testers.
The Unit seeks to obtain best value for money by identifying the most cost-effective methods of purchasing and contracting for a wide range of goods and services.
